Create a new P25 Trunk System
Add a new Department
Add the new TGID's that have been posted to the new Department

Create 2 new Sites name the sites North and South
Add the known frequencies from the existing EDACS into those respective Sites.

Use the existing systems' location info if desired. (use NAC Search for the SDS models site options) Use ID Search mode to look for additional TGID's. I'd go with that until the System is confirmed and added to the RR DB.

The South Site License has not been updated to add P25 emissions, Perhaps there will be just one P25 Site for the whole system, or it just wasn't updated yet. IDK..

FYI, Re: the above file. I didn't know what every TG actually is, So, I took some guesses on the Service Types of the TGID's. They will most likely require some updating. In addition I'd leave the South Site in an AVOID state as it doesn't look to be part of the mix yet, If ever, Time will tell.

How many times are you guys going to keep asking the same questions? Scan the frequencies and when the P25 comes alive, you'll be the first to know, then YOU can report back to everyone else.

The P25 system will be brought up shortly. There is background connectivity work being performed by the end user. Fingers crossed last week of July.

As of today Friday the 30th, 3 of the 4 North simulcast cells are transmitting in the P25 mode on RF frequencies 5 and 6. Testing of the system on the street level will commence shortly. NO DRPA or PATCO traffic will be live until the last 2 sites are brought up.

There is till some fiber connectivity work being performed for the West Ashland site to the CP.
South system will not be brought online as there are not enough RF channels to support two simultaneous systems.

Does anyone know if this new system is using the new TDMA control channel format ?
I believe it’s a Harris TRS and for some reason my Unication is not locking on the Control channel.
It’s saying out of range as I have the correct WAC 9258A and SYS ID 00A. Control channel 860.9876.
On DSD plus showing testing on TG 64504 so it’s in use.
Anyone have luck monitoring it?

I had a chance to run Unitrunker on the DRPA P25 earlier today, and it seems that the CC is running in FDMA format.

If Unitrunker can decode the control channel, then it's FDMA.

Do yourself a favor and change the channel coloring to the following values...your eyes will thank me!





You may also want to make the grid lines darker...I find that makes the actual data easier to read. If 64, 64, 64 is too dark for your preference, try 96, 96, 96
