Hello! I've been listening to LASD (mostly dispatch and L-TAC) radios for a while and, from what I've heard, they are very low volume, compared to something like County Fire or even CHP. Naturally, I turn up the volume offset to (mostly) match the other agencies to which I'm listening. However, the so-called "squelch tail" now becomes very loud. Almost too loud to listen to. Because there are no tones available for LASD (marked as CSQ in the DB), am I S-O-L for attempting to eliminating it? I'm listening on a BCD436HP, so my audio adjustment "granularity" is pretty limited, but perhaps I'm missing something. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you! Apologies if this is beating a dead horse.

Until someone more familiar gets to it, I think they're in the process of narrow-banding some sites. Try changing your programming to narrowband. Yes, they are CSQ.

I've noticed low volume compared with other agencies (LACoFD, LAFD, CHP). It seems to be them, form some reason.
