I miss the old days of Teletype zeroes. A zero character printed on a Teletype was a zero with a forward slash through it to differentiate it from an uppercase "O" character. All letters printed on a classic Model 33 Teletype were uppercase only.
Ahhh [yes a slight Hi/Jacking] the old ASR 28/33's - NCIC is still doing some of that even today
for those who use NCIC look at a name in the Return from them, when you sent [Example] SCOTT but NCIC returns SC0TT [little bit of trivia]
