Duke Energy P25 System

I hate the idea of tying up SDR dongles to monitor a site that is dead air, so I haven't even checked on it the last two months or so.

This is why I purchased the P25RX-II, I also didn't want to dedicate dongles to it. The nice part of the P25RX is that you can set it to roam up to 16 sites so basically I'm able to "monitor" 16 sites for activity with one device. I have a speaker plugged into it and it just sits on a shelf waiting for someone to talk, as they did today.

I'm in Polk County FL and I don't see no 800mhz. I do notice the 900mhz has a control channel I don't know why they don't have the 800mhz side up it is listed on the DB.

Over the past few weeks I have been seeing a slight uptick in activity on the sites in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area.

So far I have logged voice traffic on talk groups 2051 and 62695, all encrypted. Radio IDs 16511008, 16517002, 16517008, 5139111.
An interesting note on RID 5139111, 513 is the area code for Cincinnati and that was seen on TGID 2051 and is the only hit from that TGID and RID. I'm wondering if this was possibly a phone patch to 911??

Didn't you post some months back (maybe 4th quarter last year) that you had data on additional sites but had not submitted them yet? Do you ever plan on submitting them, or are you too offended by me or some other admin to submit the data?

On a system that thus far is 100% encrypted (based upon yours and other reports), encrypted talkgroup activity really means nothing since nobody will know what's being said, what the usage is, etc -- outside of pure guesswork.

Someone just updated 201 (25) and 201 (55), with the same CC freq. That is not correct. Those are 2 separate sites in the same town with different frequencies.

I notice in Polk County FL there is a few sites for the P25p2. I can't pick the system guessing low power? I can get the analog system with 2-4 bars depending where I put the radio/antenna. @scannerboy02 are the TG clear or ENC?

If you're using a scanner, then that's why you're not picking it up. Currently no scanners available can track a TDMA control channel.
