It's coming back from Yokota AB, Japan. As it did on the way over, it stopped for fuel at Anchorage International Airport, not Elmendorf AFB in Alaska.

Not sure who is on it this time.
I believe it is "empty." It flew SecState over last week, who I believe came home on AF1. Maybe suffered a mx issue that prevented an earlier return?

Looking at the load sheet at acars.adsbexchange.com it appears that SAM 892 returned with 20 crew and 15 pax including a couple in the state room.

The White Elefant [sic] was loaded in the aft cargo hold. However, the Grey Ghost was not onboard today. Anybody know what these are?

Couple heavies inbound Dover from Alaska area today.

Anyone having problems with American Military news site like me?
Every time I click on a story with Microsoft Edge after a few seconds get red screen warning from Microsoft defender warning to stop.
I think there is a pop-up Ad in there that is triggering this. Works ok though on Firefox browser.

2020 local CAP ending with the NOBLE's as one mentions that he will be flying CAP duty Tuesday ,departing on ZDC 360.700
heading South thru Ches Bay.
Guess Tuesday will be the beach house CAP :)

Yep, KIWI 027 was her flight. (y)

She tested positive for Covid week before last and was not scheduled to meet with President Biden until he realized that New Zealand has strict gun control laws after the 2019 Christchurch shootings. I would expect a photo op with some parallels drawn to the recent U.S. shootings.

Cleared down to as low as 5k by ZDC on 285.400.. NOBLE asks the other. Is that a Lighthouse in the middle of the water?
I think he spotted the Fourteen Foot Lighthouse near Mouth of Delaware Bay on Western side.

Had some Navy FA/18E's headed North around noon or so.
RAM-11 VFA-83 FL210 and WILDCAT-11 VFA-131 flight of two following on ZDC 363.000 started dropping down.
looking for the JAIKE-3 arrival so assume up into New Jersey.Guess for maybe a NYC Fleetweek flyover or baseball game?

FAST 51 (x2 T-38s) from Whiteman AFB with Syracuse Approach after flying low over the city of Ithaca and Cayuga Lake. Approach just asked them if they would like the overhead, didn’t specify whether it’s going to SYR or RME.

Update - Requested the overhead break at SYR for a full stop.

SAM46 09-0016 just departed Randolph and Marine 1 showing as TIS-B hit just landed Kelly Field with press Osprey, AF1 09-0017 now in the air headed to Delaware.

Third TIS-B headed inbound now to Kelly. While Governor"s plane TEXDOT 1 (N1TX) and TEXDOT 4 (N504TX) head north bound after leaving Uvalde.

1916- BANKER20 heading back to Mcdill. 59-0094 has its gear down (visual) flying at FL200 400kts

Listening to the LiveATC tapes, it sounds to me like this is a pre-planned gear down maintenance ferry. ATC tries to clear BANKER 20 to FL230 but she says she would like to stay at FL200. Max gear down indicated airspeed on a KC-135 is listed as 320 knots so at FL200 you can easily get much more than that true airspeed. Add the wind vector and you get the groundspeed indicated on ADSBExchange. FL200 appears often in Boeing MELs (Minimum Equipment Lists) since many non-standard configurations, e.g. flaps extended, are flight tested to that altitude during aircraft certification.

A big gotcha on a gear down ferry is that the Flight Management Computers on most aircraft assume a 'clean' configuration (gear and flaps up) for cruise flight and will give overly optimistic fuel predictions enroute.

For example: Hapag-Lloyd Flight 3378 - Wikipedia

AFMAN11-2KC-135V3 has this guidance for a gear down maintenance ferry flight:

4.7. Gear Down Flight Operations. Limit gear down flight operations to sorties required to move the aircraft to a suitable repair facility. Consider gear down flight only after the PIC exhausts all avenues to repair the aircraft in place.

4.7.1. Standard climb-out flight path charts in T.O. 1C-135(K)R-1-1 do not account for a geardown configuration. Therefore, PICs shall not takeoff until there is reasonable assurance that they will achieve/maintain adequate obstacle clearance (to include enroute stops and alternates).

4.7.2. Time and communications capability permitting, validate takeoff data with MAJCOM/A3V or unit OG/OGV.
