I noticed today that 141.420 MHz is now an active voice channel for Bell FleetNet in Middlesex, no longer a control channel.

Also looks like 143.085 has been made inactive.

To fill in the details, you are referring to Site 18 (Byron) I presume? And is the current CC 142.665, the advertised alternate?

I just checked and 142.665 is still the control and 141.420 is the alternate

Have you heard anything on 143.085? It has been silent since I notices voice comm's on 141.420, which I first noticed yesterday.
Possibly could have been a temporary thing. Who knows?

I'm still seeing 141.420 as the alternate, and T88 is reporting no voice activity on 143.085 recently. Things aren't very busy on there at the moment though, so I'll check it again later.

From my location in London, I am not hearing any digital noise that comes with a CC for 141.420. I have heard OPP voice comm's on it this morning. Seems like it is being used very sporadically for voice.
142.665 has the digital control channel noise, and 143.085 is still quiet. I have been monitoring all morning, and this is what I have found so far.
Sounds like it is going to be a busy day today for them, so we will see what transpires :).

As an alternate control channel, you shouldn't hear any control channel like sounds on it. If I recall correctly, that channel will be held in reserve in case the primary control channel RF goes down. It can be used for comm's if the system is busy enough.

LOL, I was just thinking that I shouldn't hear the digital noise until it was being used as a control channel, but I didn't think of being used as a voice channel. Anyways still no action on 143.085.
