To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Check min/max audio volume settings (Radio Configuration, Radio Wide) and make sure the Max volume didn't get set to something low.

Here we go again.
I changed just that one setting I can hear the channel announcement but there’s no radio traffic coming through on the trunking system.
I was working just a week ago.

No voice traffic at all? Does it appear you are receiving traffic?

Not receiving anything the box that says radio inhibit enable in trunking system is checked.
It won’t let me uncheck the box that allows the radio to be remotely inhibited.

Radio Inhibit is a feature of Astro 25 systems that cannot be unchecked in trunking personalities.

Did the county inhibit the radio? Not sure if it would display that or not.
It displayed nothing

As I said in your other thread that I closed, you need to take it to the agency that assigned you that radio to have it uninhibited. If it's not an agency assigned radio, then you're going to have a hard time getting it uninhibited.

so you program an unauthorized subscriber radio on a "federal" trunking system. Not that anything you've said so far makes sense...but there is reasons why radio inhibit exists.

Let me tell you something
Radio inhibit exist because of the D bags that talk on the radio way to much .
Not that I’m one of them but I’ve got 3 or 4 friends that had there department issued radios inhibited because they talk on it way to much they hit the hotmic button 3-4 times a day.
