Oakland County Broadcastify

Has anyone tried listening to the Oakland County FDs on Broadcastify? I checked today (have not tried any yet) and there are several Oakland County FDs listed, but as far as I know they have not been switched from Open Sky yet. Has anyone heard when they will be available for listening on a scanner?

Unfortunately they have not joined MPSCS yet. The simulcast they will be using is not completed and until that happens, I don't believe Oakland is setup to handle that much bandwidth on MPSCS. As far as what the Sheriff has stated, Oakland wants everything encrypted but I also heard that here in Kent and FD ended up in the clear.

I had heard the same thing that FD will eventually be on MPSCS but I was just wondering if anyone knew when that would happen since there are so many on Broadcastify now.

From my understand they were estimated to Join sometime in 2025 but that was when the contract was signed with Motorola. I also saw an article saying they expect this year so idk for sure

And most FD are still a patch or Tone out over the Air

Would you happen to know what Novi's is? What about Milford, Wixom, or Farmington Hills?

Novi is very active. I'm in commerce and get novi, walled lake, commerce, Farmington Hills, Milford, wixom and walled lake. Novi doesn't have a live feed, but I'm thinking of doing it.

Most of the FDs in Oakland are on analog simulcast, of their main comms. Fireground is mostly on OS, and not able to be monitored.

I have not found a dispatch for Bloomfield Township, or City of Farmington.
