Is there a way to get a tone alert to work for a dept that is p25 on a Uniden as well as two tone detect. They use the alert tone built into the dispatch console after they drop the tones on the simulcast. The simulcast isn’t repeated so I can’t get the actual tones. The alert tone is the single tone for fire only and the high low for EMS. I’m just wondering if there’s a way to program two tone detect and or the scanner to trip for those.
Thank you in advance.

Sounds like a long tone setup.

Unfortunately the only radio I'm aware of that will do P25 tone decoding is the Unication series. Our department just migrated to those over Motorola Minitors.

That said, I'd do more research just to be sure they aren't patching a conventional paging frequency in with the P25 stuff. Doing that is pretty common.

My Two-Tone Detect setup activates for A-B tones on both P25 and analog simulcast. In theory, a long tone on P25 should do the same.
