Thursday afternoon, March 23, the President and the First Lady will travel to Ottawa, Canada, where they will remain overnight.

During the visit, the President will meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss defense cooperation and modernizing the North American Aerospace Defense Command, strengthening supply chain resilience, taking bold action to combat climate change and accelerate the clean energy transition, and working together on regional challenges, including instability in Haiti. They will also discuss ongoing efforts to support Ukraine, to increase the costs to Russia and those supporting its war effort, and to counter the negative impacts of the war on the rest of the world. The two leaders will also discuss enhanced collaboration to address the synthetic opioid crisis that has devastated both countries, and irregular migration and forced displacement throughout the region. The President will also address the Canadian Parliament to highlight the importance of the United States-Canada bilateral relationship.

Copied Air Force One during the 2016 Obama visit, they were just using regular published VHF ATC frequencies, Montreal Centre and Ottawa Approach. There was a bit of activity on UHF Air, known refueling frequencies at the time, don't recall what they were.

Would they be allowed to use the standard US VHF freqs in Canada?
I would guess there would be a lot of coordination beforehand since your federal VHF band is one of our commercial bands. While our commercial users probably wouldn't be too bothered by it, I could see the Secret Service getting cranky that their comms are being stepped on by high power RCC's.

I'm seeing a odd amount of check ins on the 2PERTH OPP wide talkgroup from out of area units coming into Ottawa. Even heard a 4Lima - South Porcupine, 4Golf - Kirkland Lake, 4India - North Bay, 4Juliet - West Parry Sound, and 1Foxtrot - Northumberland units as well. 6Alpha? - Southwest Region?

Pretty Sure I saw 2Belleville active, as well as 2Peterborough. I think 2Ottawa is also active, but it might only be active on the Ottawa Tower only which is out of my reach.

I must say, some are coming from quite a distance. Even a 4Papa - James Bay area unit as well.

Most units coming into the area are logged as 09x which is a paid detail/special event unit.

The wide coverage area of TG might be for a worst case scenario. If something bad were to happen then it would be easier to implement a lock down or other emergency actions.

Possibly.
From what I have heard so far it sounds like these officers are on their way to Ottawa, guessing for the 23rd and 24th :) , using the area wide groups getting there so they don't have to keep switching talk groups going through each area talk group.
The ones I have heard for example, switching from 2 Bellville say going to Ottawa, then asking if anyone is monitoring 2 Ottawa before making the switch.

From WH Press Briefing a few minutes ago, POTUS arrives tomorrow afternoon and will close out the visit with a dinner at the Aviation and Space Museum Friday evening. A better schedule will be available this evening in case anyone is doing AF1 spotting.

Have some other activity on 364.200 heard mention of a Terminal. Not sure if related or not. I have it listed as Huntress (AR609) - But not confirmed. Any ideas? I do see a Husky98 flying around Ottawa at the moment.

Just heard RCMP on 425.7125 giving a weather report :) a few minutes before landing

The Eagle has landed :)
Thought all RCMP would be ENC. So that's a decent catch if anything especially if you were able to actually hear something.

425.7125 - Channel L7 - Local Simplex
PL 123.0 or NAC100
