I don't know if anyone has noticed that RCMP channel in Grand Forks BC has gone digital on the local 139.530 MHz G-channel. Sounds like Mototrbo to me. Anyone confirm?

Just a footnote. The protocol may actually be P25 not Mototrbo.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9780; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.8+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.600 Mobile Safari/534.8+)

It is also, most likely, AES-256 encrypted.

Have you tried 139.44 and 139.5 . Last time I passed through there they were all linked to 139.53 in analog . Unfortunatly with the south Okanagan going p25 enc . I am not suprised your area was next . Is Trail still analog ?

RCMP digital

I haven't heard anything on Echo on Observation Mtn but will monitor when passing through the area. I haven't been through Rock Creek lately to listen to Lima either. Trail is presently analog still as well as all channels I can monitor here.

Has anything (RCMP) in the South Okanagan gone digital yet? If so, which ones?

BTW Charlie channel on St. Thomas serving the Paulson highway east of Christina Lake appears to be digital as well. I suspect Rossland/Trail, Castlegar, Nelson & Salmo will be next.
