Calgary Police - Simplex Use

I've heard simplex being used by CPS when heading out of town, but can't locate what those are - anyone help out here?

They used to be in the database, not sure why they were taken down, for sensitivity reasons? But yes I do hear units say they will use then outside of the city.I might PM you if I find them here by chance.

Could we show the input frequency as the same as the output to show it is simplex rather than a conventional repeater. I take it we are talking about A16 just added to the db. I'm sure there are others.

From the Database Administrator's Handbook:

6.2.5.2. INPUT FREQUENCY

If the “output” frequency is simplex, do not enter anything in the input field.

IOW, same frequencies are not duplicated in each field for portable radios.

Ahh Ok gotcha can live with that as that will be an indicator. But if someone reports a conventional frequency and doesn't include the input it will appear simplex.

Check the Type column. Repeaters are typically marked RM.
