Hey guys!

The day has finally come when I will install my BCT15X in my 2006 Jeep Liberty. Space is tight in those things and I need some suggestions. The antenna is already mounted NMO style and I have plenty of cable I just need a good spot to mount where the wires can reach the fuse box on the drivers side.

I expect somebody will come along that actually has that vehicle but for those of us that don't know that interior layout, a picture would be helpful.

Without the benefit of the picture, I'll tell you that if you have a double-DIN stock radio setup, one option would be to go with an in-dash mounting. That would require that you get a single-DIN radio/CD to fill out the space and regain that functionality. Possible problem with this is some vehicles have control functions that route through the radio.

2006 Jeep Liberty BCT15

Sorry pics are inverted but tried twice to fix and no joy. Here are some driver's eye view of my BCT15 (under dash on passenger side), Alinco DR635T, the Tram thru-glass antenna (inside coupler) used for BCT15, and the 12V connections also on passenger side near door channel. 12VDC run is under carpet into door channel, then up thru firewall on passenger side. DR635 has remote head located under passenger seat. I have pics of outside antennas too but wanted to start with this.

Nice job on the NMO quarter wave. Did the same thing on my 06 Liberty but am using a Comet SBB-2 dual band flexiwhip so I can drive in/out of my garage and parking garages.
You may have already considered this, but your scanner and GPS will be getting VERY hot in summertime atop the dashboard. And you must live in one of those areas where scanners and GPS aren't stolen from vehicles.
