Hi guys my name is Matt and im new to the community. So go easy on me if im posting this in the wrong place. Anyway ive been looking to get my extra scanner on a feed 24/7. I applied and did all that. Currently Ive just been Ustream'ing it. But I have one weird issue. Gain. No matter what sound port I plug my pro 164 in. Mic, Line in ect I get overloaded with gain. Ive used both rubber ducky antenna and my ST4. Neither seem to help. Is there a setting in ScannerCast that could help me? Do I need to route this through some special program before Scanner cast to EQ it?

Thanks guys for your help!

Ok I think I may have found the problem. The power adapter. When ever its plugged in and audio is going into computer. Its going crazy with noise and gain, When on battery's. No problem!...So is this scanner not ment for being powered by the wall and then lined out? It seems that way

if you're using windows, you might try:

go to the control panel
go to sound
go to the "recording" tab near the top
right click on the device you're using (mine says Microphone)
click properties
then click the "levels" tab near the top
adjust, then click apply

thats how i do it with windows 7
