I am monitoring the South Dakota state digital system with my Pro 197. I will find that the scanner will stop and a talkgroup will appear, but no frequency, also no audio. I have a Pro 2096 running right next to it and the audio will come through without a problem. As far as I know I have all settings, frequencies the same. I only have frequencies to my nearest location and get 99% on all three towers. I have downloaded the 96 files into win500 and put that file on the pro 197 and still does the same thing. About ready to sell the 97 and buy another 2096. Firmware is up to date. Thanks for your help.
