cloning of the PRO-2035 2042

Greeting all,
Can anyone tell me what handheld units can be cloned from
the radio shack pro-2035 and or pro-2042 base station?

Pretty sure that without modification, those radios are not capable of computer programming.
The only programming capability I ever heard of was by adding the Programmit interface which involved building the device from components and using a custom program to send the data. You could get the Optoelectronics board that allowed computer control but not programming.

Oh,
I think you are correct...
That without a hole lot of effort,
The possible effect of just plugging in a port and hitting go is out of the question...
So, My next problem is to find out what handheld unit can be cloned to base units
Any Ideas.

There never was a handheld version of the PRO-2035 or the PRO-2042.

If you're looking for a 1000 channel analog only handheld & base combo then I'd recommend the PRO-97 and the PRO-2055. They were clonable to eachother.

My Main Interest is trunking and cloning possibilities.

They are virtually identical as far as capabilities and function. The 163/164 was a refresh of the old 97/2055 design. I own a 2055 now and I once owned a 97. As far as analog only scanners went they were one of the best.

The 163/164 supported rebanding where the 97/2055 couldn't as they were pre-rebanding.
