hi folks, and thanks for the info. i checked with radio shack, and they say they only stock parts for scanners that are not older than 5 years old so, i guess i will have to find a used one somewhere . thanks!

Well thats funny because I was able to buy parts for my PRO-43 and its much older then 5 years.

Battery Holder for PRO-43 scanners is available on eBay. Radio Shack no longer carries battery holder for this scanner. This particular Battery Holder is used for about 16 Pro-Series scanners. According to Radio Shack this holder is no longer manufactured.

This is a 4AA Battery Holder. The one needed is a 6AA Battery Holder

I ordered one of these about 4 days ago, and it came today from the ebay seller. Works fine, was happy to be able to find one for my old Pro39 handheld scanner. May get another one for a spare! My '39' can travel with me once again.
