Hope There are some Massachusetts Railfans Monitoring!
I have a question and it is this; The Main Frequency for the Worcester Main Line has been 160.4100 MHz for quite a while.
Recently, the Dispatcher has been heard using 161.2650 MHz for everything.
I've looked up this frequency, and it supposedly is used by: "Bay Colony Railroad Co, Braintree MA" as their yard Ops Freq.
Also it is supposed to be used by MBTA Keolis as the: "Communication and Signal dept" for Signal testing.
I found this info at: "http://www.scan-ne.net/wiki/index.php?title=Railroads"
I know there is a lot of work being done at this time, some of it is for "PTC" and other work is for general improvements.
Does anyone here know if the use of these Frequencies are in the process of changing?
I hope so, because of where I am situated, the 161.2650 MHz Frequency is orders of magnitude better than the 160.4100 MHz Frequency!
