Hi Guys - I've been toying with the idea of making a loop instead of buying one at about NZ$800 plus! However I see that the MFJ-1886 is more in my price range - any got one to give me some idea of it's performance? I was dissappointed with a Wellbrook that I borrowed - I have quite high noise levels in the evening from neighbours TV which I would hope to eliminate - I would mount it on a mast about 15feet up on a cheapo rotator that has been unused for years!

Any help gratefully received.

This is not the fault of the antenna. This is your location. No antenna is going to magically rid itself of RFI.

You're better off buying one of these OR removing the offending source of noise.

Timewave ANC-4, Timewave ANC4 noise canceller

MFJ makes one too but just remember the MFJ motto == Mighty Fine Junk!
