This may be of interest to some who have noise issues.
I have major problems with noise in my location and have tried loads to sort it out, some think its VDSL noise but its like white noise.
I normally use my Wellbrook 1530LN loop in the rx port of my transceiver and longwire to tx.
Here is a list of noise L=noise on loop EF=noise on LW
1.8 MHZ L=S7 EF=S9
3.8 MHZ L= S7 EF=S9
5.389MHZ L=S5 EF=S7
7.100MHZ L=S5 EF=S7
10MHZ L=S5 EF=S7
14MHZ Both silent no noise
18MHZ Both silent no noise
24.5MHZ Both silent no noise
28 MHZ Both silent no noise
A friend told me about the loop on ground antenna
The Loop on Ground Antenna - the "LoG"
I intend building the box when the binocular ferrites arrive but as i have a spare ALA-100 I thought it might be worth doing an experiment to see what happens when i attach that and i made 2 video's 1 is in the shack and the second one outside showing the antenna.
All i can say is I was really surprised how it worked.
Here are the 2 videos: (understand its a quick lash up and im no steven spielberg so its a bit rough around the edges!!
