Default Blowing off steam...

I just want to shoot off here, since I understand the openness of this community, and that taking offense is not allowed.

I'm pissed off. I hate Christian culture. Stephen Harper is a Christian??? Really?? Then I guess that makes you an *** (no, not *you* you - the other you).

Rick Warren is an idiot. And so are all of his followers and admirers.

Max Lucado thinks everyone who reads his books is in grade 8, and that's how he writes his books. He writes touchy-feely fluff for the idiot culture. Did I say I hate Christian culture?

Christian bookstores are full of crap. Crap that the idiot culture loves. Religious bread and circuses for idiots. The Christian masses are asses.

Arminians are morons. Pietists are morons. Pentacostals are morons. The full gospel is bull****.

Gordon Clark is my hero.

I'm sick and tired of the irrational church. Irrationality is the new piety. We're not supposed to make sense? Making sense is for sinners? For the 'natural man?' For those who don't have faith? I really hate Arminianism. Arminians hate logic because they are jackasses.

Now, tomorrow morning, I have to go back to church with a bunch of irrational, Arminian morons and try to be nice. I'm sick of it.

I can't discuss this any further. Sometimes I let things get to me too much. I was having a bad day, and had nobody to talk to, but I'm over it now.

Woooosaaaaa. Not sure what you hate about Christ's message of salvation? If you want to talk try your local Church pastor.

I love Christ's message of salvation. It is the imposters I am against. And the myths and deceptions. I'm not going to knock down my pastor here. I've said enough. Arminianism is not Christianity. And Pietism is not Christianity.

The Trinity Foundation

Read some essays. Click on 'Review Archives', and pick one that looks interesting. They are some of the best teachings you will ever read. The ones I disagree with, I can count on one hand; i.e., I like R.C. Sproul - Robbins didn't.

And if that's not enough, check out Critical Issues Commentaries at Critical Issues Commentary: CIC Commentaries. Those are good too.

Rick Warren wrote a good book called Purpose Driven Life. Have you even read it?

About 6 years ago (not sure), when it was very popular, unfortunately, yes, I did. We had 'home fellowship groups' on Sunday evenings, and we offered our house for this. Every meeting was a torment for me. The whole mentality was "This is what the pastor has provided for us, and just keep your mouth shut and don't complain or cause trouble." So I kept my mouth shut.

You can find all kinds of resources on the internet about how dangerous that book is for Christians. Critical Issues Commentary has some material on it.

I really hated that book. I am ashamed of my pastor and my church for what we did. It was a display of very poor discernment on his part. As well as his choice a year later of 'Come Thirsty' by Max Lucado. It is completely idiotic to try to express God's love for me by telling me 'God picked out your wallpaper before you were born.' I am not 8 years old.

How can you say Purpose Driven Life is a good book? That is preposterous!!!

I do not wish to discuss this any further, and I would like my posts in this thread deleted. The 'edit' button is not showing up in these posts.

No peace between Christianity and Pietism is possible, just as no peace between liberty and communism is possible, so there is no point in continuing this. All I wanted was to vent anonymously. I said what I think, and I now I need to move on.

To request this, click the little triangle in the upper-right corner of one of your posts in this thread, and enter your request into the dialog-box that is displayed. An admin might lock the thread, since you are the OP. (Also, the "Edit" button is on a timer, and becomes disabled after a "short" interval.)

You are not supposed to do that, if your pastor is preaching incorrectly then it is your responsibility to bring this up to the congregation. Preaching the wrong Word is a sin itself, if you need to ask someone else if you think you are right then don't be afraid to ask for clarification. Don't sit there like a mindless robot and just accept what is being preached as the absolute truth, make sure yourself. That's what the Bible is there for, to help guide your life.

The only ting I know to say in response to this thread is this. Natural man is not the true reflection of God and His Son Jesus Christ. Even the bible says natural man can be deceived by satan to twist the word of God to create hatred for the good book and the message it has to deliver. I have seen some proclaimed christians act like a professional scam artist in churches. Go in acting all holy then go home back to ac/dc and using profane language. even have the nerve to look at porn.
The path of salvation is a hard and narrow road. Jesus even mentioned (ref Matthew 7:14) Straight is the gate and narrow is the way. It is easy to give in to immorality while trying to live the christian life as defined in the bible. No one can serve 2 masters (ref Matthew 6:24).This is in support of what I typed. Appearing holy in Sunday then going home like the devil. People will even try to justify it.
It is not anyone's right to judge someone else. We are not supposed to and commanded not to judge others. We can make a concrete statement but we cannot condemn no man and woman. We are commanded to love another as God loves us.You can help someone by being tactful and kind showing love to help them correct an error (sin) and be more effective than banishing them to hell.
Everyone wants to go to heaven but it is just as God said, "Straight is gate and narrow is the way : (ref Matt 7:14)
