Hey Sacramento Area,
I recently used some cheapo Walkie-Talkies on a camping trip out of state and I got interested in learning about Radio Communications. I bought better equipment (Uniden GMR5089) when I got home and I signed up for a GMRS License with the FCC. I'm looking to be pointed in the right direction for getting the best out of these Walkies. (My long term goal is to get a Technician Ham License)
I've been scanning constantly with these Walkies and trying to hail anybody with my callsign, but I've literally had zero luck. Are there any hobbyists who use GMRS Channels in the Roseville area?
Thanks in Advance!
Chris
