Calfire dispatched and/or managed agencies use the 7000 series numbers. Battalions tend to match traditonal MVU Schedule B battalions.

70xx = SDCFA staff
71xx = Battalion 1 (SDCFA, Deer Springs)
72xx = Battalion 2 (SDCFA, San Miguel)
73xx = Battalion 3 (SDCFA)
74xx = Battalion 4 (SDCFA)
75xx = Battalion 5 (SDCFA, Julian-Cuyamaca)
76xx = Battalion 6 (San Miguel)
77xx = Battalion 7 (SDCFA)
78xx = Battalion 8 (SDCFA, Ramona)
79xx = Battalion 9 (SDCFA, Borrego Springs FPD)

3rd digit indicates indicates apparatus type.

0 = Staff
1,2,3 = Engines
4 = Patrol or staff
5 = Water Tender
6 = Type-3 engine
7 = Truck
8 = Utility or rescue
9 = Ambulance

4th digit generally matches the station number.

San Diego county apparatus numbers

Does anyone have an actual list of the engine numbers at each of the county firestations? (individual apparatus, not just the battalion.
