Just wondering if anyone in San Diego has purchased an SDS-100.
If so, what is the digital performance on the RCS?
Probably more importantly, how is P25 reception on the San Diego 700MHZ LSM system?
Trying to decide if the SDS-100 is worth the upgrade.

The TRX don't like the SD City 700 AT ALL. The WS1098 series likes it about 95% of the time for full decode, unless you pass through a troubling intersection of simulcast RF.

That's interesting Paul...I guess everyone's mileage does vary

My TRX-1 does great on the RCS digital and a pretty good job on the City 700. (Trash Trucks)

My 436 on the other hand is choppy on RCS and worse on the 700 system.

I'd really only upgrade to the SDS-100 if it really delivers on its claim of superior LSM performance -and really only if does so here on our local digital systems.

In testing at my TV stations parking lot, underneath our conveniently located "on top of newsroom" AT&T cell phone tower, the 436 I tested would not even get the control channel for the north zone, but my test TRX1 received loud and clear. Sometimes, it;'s a matter of testing in the real world, to determine the performance of a product. I just buy them all, test them, sell the losers on eBay.
