Thank you for bringing this up about EMS Manuals. I've never thought about it before but I just found a manual for Alameda County. This will help me figure out things going on on the radio that I didnt know about before.

IIRC: 488.4375 is/was Control9 dispatch/ CoCoSO- the rest are ambulance to hospital

That's interesting! I never knew Contra Costa did their ambulance to hospital stuff on T-Band. I've heard CALSTAR 1 and REACH do patient reports to John Muir on 155.28 MHz on numerous occasions, so I guess I always assumed they used the usual VHF HEAR frequencies.

FRom what I understand, those aren't used anymore for their intended purpose.

They used to use "control 9" to ask the S/O if "L19" is clear for traffic. Then when it was, they would switch, ring down the hospital, give the report and switch back. Was kind of pointless in the S/O's opinion. But being the controlling EMS agency for the county, we did it. this was at least 11 years ago.

Now I don't think they are used much at all.
