BART Rebanding

It appears BART has started rebanding their EDACS system. 5 of the system frequencies have been rebanded while 5 have not. Below is the new LCN which I verified using UniTrunker:

LCN 1: 866.075
LCN 2: 866.725 (current data channel)
LCN 3: 851.5625
LCN 4: 867.375
LCN 5: 852.0375
LCN 6: 867.8
LCN 7: 852.5625
LCN 8: 867.9625
LCN 9: 853.0375
LCN 10: 853.3625

I will submit this to the DB as well. I wonder when the next batch of system frequencies will switch over.

Nice, I was wondering why my scanner was having trouble tracking BART the other day (I don't usually monitor them). Do you know when they started?

I don't monitor them on a regular basis but thought I'd tune in due to BART PD being in the news lately. That's when I realized my scanner was quiet and searched 851 - 855 MHz and found them there.

As I type this, they are currently testing the remaining system channels on talkgroup 03-126, which I heard them refer to as "Radio Shop 2". They have been verbally IDing the remaining system channels, so I didn't even need to use UniTrunker this time. Below is the full LCN for the rebanded system:

LCN 1: 851.0375 (verbal ID as channel 1 while testing)
LCN 2: 851.3125 (verbal ID as channel 2 while testing)
LCN 3: 851.5625
LCN 4: 851.8875 (verbal ID as channel 4 while testing)
LCN 5: 852.0375
LCN 6: 852.8875 (verbal ID as channel 6 while testing)
LCN 7: 852.5625 (current data channel)
LCN 8: 852.8125 (verbal ID as channel 8 while testing)
LCN 9: 853.0375
LCN 10: 853.3625

For now they seem to only be using the 5 rebanded channels that originally switched over and testing the remaining 5. The 866 - 868 MHz frequencies are completely quiet now. So once their testing is done, they will be fully rebanded. I will submit an update to the DB accordingly.

Haha, that's exactly what happened to me too. I was still getting the 5 non-rebanded channels though.

For now they seem to only be using the 5 rebanded channels that originally switched over and testing the remaining 5. The 866 - 868 MHz frequencies are completely quiet now. So once their testing is done, they will be fully rebanded. I will submit an update to the DB accordingly.

Rebanding Complete

They just turned on all channels. LCN 06 should be 852.2375 (I'm sure that was just a typo on your part).

Oops, that indeed was a typo. 852.8875 belongs to Oakland, I don't why I typed that in.
