I don't know what AC are performing now but they're on 127.300. I think that is the SF airspace frequency.

EDIT- just saw your above post mlangeveld

Blue Angels were having a problem with static on the show box frequency today (251.600), so they switched to 272.100 and then 246.500 (interestingly, both of these are Snowbirds frequencies). Solos and diamond were on their normal channels.

ah so that's what was going on. I thought it was quiet. I'm using an old AOR AR8000 where I definitely need to do some frequency/channel cleanup. :-D Thx for the info!

Also interesting, I was looking back at the 2011 SF Fleet Week thread:

https://forums.radioreference.com/s...n/222753-san-francisco-fleet-week-2011-a.html

That was the last year the Snowbirds came to SF Fleet Week, and that year the Blue Angels were heard on 333.3 MHz, a Snowbirds frequency that the BAs have never used before or since. Maybe the Snowbirds are causing interference on the BA's regular channels, forcing them to use theirs instead?

Monitored Air Boss for 2017 SF Fleet Week on 126.400. Some of the inbound flights said something about "...switching to {discrete or discreet?}" then the pilot was no longer heard from.

Any idea what "...switching to {discrete or discreet?}" is all about? Is it a digital system of some form? If so, what is it called? (Would like to gain familiarity with it.)

Thanks!
