I know this is not a scanner, but hopefully someone can help me out here.
I just purchased the Yaesu FTA 550 airband radio, with it I have the software to program the FTA 550/750 radios and experience two problems.
1) No matter how many times I set the radio plan to the 500 it saves it as a 750 file (the only difference is the 750 has a GPS built in)
2) No matter what i do the software, using Windows 7, tells me there is no port available. It cannot read or write to the radio, because no matter what USB port I use or how I set it up when I go to select the port it says "no port." The driver is installed.
I have called Yaeus half a dozen times, no one in customer support has used the software or is remotely familiar with it. They have no literature for the software to begin to even help me.
Any suggestions?
