Hi, I was wondering if anyone has found a fix for this because this is darn annoying.
Every time I try to connect FreeScan to the scanner (with the proper settings) it all ways gives me 'Could not connect to scanner. Response received: -1'.
Sometimes just out of the blue it will connect though.
It's not my cable because TRUNK88 and bcTool has no trouble connecting to the COM port and the scanner.

Something else to consider - if you have turned on control channel output, FreeScan can't connect to a PC.

Did you turn this on to use Trunk88? Mike

HAAA!! I just noticed that the system what is preventing me from connecting my scanner to FreeScan has a DB9 serial port on the motherboard!! Forget the USB to DB9 adapter, I'm going straight up serial!
Not bad for an first generation Core i7 chipset! :D :D
