UBC3500XLT - Which software to use?

Hi everyone,

Just purchased a secondhand UBC3500XLT and been looking at the software options available. Looks like the contenders are bctools+, Freescan or Butel ARC3500.

Any advice for a newbie on what should sway me one way or the other with these? I've downloaded them all to trial but struggling to decide which one is better.

Well you can pretty much eliminate BCTools, as I think this software isn't being supported or developed anymore...FreeScan is freeware, so I would start there.

When you install it, ignore any virus warnings. It's a false positive

Many thanks for your advice and the links, I'll start to look through those. I wasn't sure whether Freescan was supported anymore either as the link to the forum on their website is dead.

I've been asking Freescan if it will support Windows 10, they won't reply. With the Log Viewer. the tone / PL doesn't show up when searching, only preprogrammed in memories.
