Does anyone know if FreeScan is still being updated? I was wondering if he added DMR programming capabilities to it?

DMR not added, but otherwise will support 996 p2 and 325p2

As Mark has already noted, FreeSCAN can program the 325P2 and 996P2, but does not support DMR. There have been no updates in quite a while, and it appears that none are forthcoming in the near term. The author has not been active in the forums, either here or on his own site, in quite a while.

As long as you are not dealing with DMR systems, the software still works just fine. If you will need DMR support, then look at either ARC-XT, or ProScan. I'm using ProScan for my 325P2, as I have several DMR systems of interest. ProScan also supports numerous Uniden models, and has logging/recording capability. ARC-XT only has logging/recording in the "Pro" version, which is priced higher than ProScan.
