FREESCAN: Stuck Minimized?

Windows 7 Pro
BCD996XT

I control the scanner from the computer. I will minimize it and you get the little
box at the bottom of the screen. If I want to adjust anything I click on the
box and instead of opening it I hear a ding. I might have to hit it 10 times before
it opens.

I've tried right click - open, doesn't work. ding-ding-ding. Sometimes it will open
on the first try but not usually. I can open/close any other thing like pictures or
whatever, just not this one.

Any ideas?
