Recently there have been several instances of users of ARC products not being able to import certain areas from the RadioReference database. ARCxxx would seem to ignore whole counties or trunked systems or portions therein.
The problem has been found and is related to server upgrades performed by RadioReference recently. Somehow a stray character is embedded on talkgroups or channels within the database and that character causes ARC (and perhaps some other products) to not be able to see that system or area.
If you have this issue look at the database in a browser and see if a record has this character someplace: �.
If you see this � make a Database Submission so that the Admins can clear that character and once done all will be right with the world again.
Recently I have cleared dozens of these characters, notably from LA County, StarCom 21 and Peoria County in Illinois and the SNACC system in Las Vegas. Other admins have also cleared bunches around the country. There are more of them so let us know when you find them!
