Where's the best spot to make suggestions to updates for this software?

Do these software ever get any updates? I've never seen any to date yet.

I'd like to see in the virtual control to show the radio ID tag that we can give to the radio IDs.

I was very hesitant to try Proscan ad I have used Butel Products since they started selling software. But I was very pleased with Proscan especially with the remote control and logging through the of WiFi and it can be used on many different models of Uniden scanners as well.

Folks, the topic of this thread is ARC436/536. This is not the place to direct people to other programs.

Thank you. While I appreciate that the other program is out there. It's not the one I use. Hence the reason asking about a spot to post about suggestions for the ARC program I do use.

V2 ? I went I to my program to see about updates but it said it was the most updated version. I'll have to relook at this. Thanks.

If you go to the About item in the Help menu it will show the latest version, I think the latest is v2.00 Build 14.

Sorry my bad. So this is whats happening.

If the radio ID is known and I've added a name tag for it. Then yes. The name will show up on screen in the virtual control however the radio ID itself does not.

Now in the logging part of the screen. If the radio ID is known and there is a name tag attached to it then it will not show up in the logging. However if the ID is not known and it is a new one only then will it show up in the logging.

Sorry I should've sent a pic of what I mean and I know I didn't describe it properly before. I hope this clarifys it. If not. I can provide a pic later.

Finally got around to getting a screen shot. In the following this is what I'm talking about.

You see Patrol 79 - Kanata listed on screen. However you don't see the actual radio ID either on the virtual control (UID) or in the logging area.

Now, if this were a new radio ID that was unknown. You'd see the radio ID on the virtual control and in the logging screen.

How come we don't see that if they're known and labelled as shown in the screen shot?

The solution to your problem is to include the rid/uid# in front of the name you give it.
Like this....

204500 Malvern EMA1
204553 Malvern PW4
204554 Malvern PW5
211011 Union Eng Mob
211012 Union Res Mob
211013 Union Eng Mob
211014 Union Mob
211015 Union Amb
211016 Union Amb Mob
211017 Union Tank Mob
211018 Union Mob
211019 Union Res Mob
211020 Union Lad Mob
211021 Union Sqd Mob
211022 Union Mob

That corrects the one issue.

Not having previously ID'd/Tagged RIDS clogging the log is a blessing for those looking for the unidentified ones. I like the way it works.
However, It would be nice if it were an option to show all RID's in the log if so desired. including those already ID'd.

Thats good advice! Now I have to reprogram my RIDs thanks! :) But honestly I never thought of using that format that is a great idea!

That may be true to some extent and I've done this myself already with my IDs. However it still won't show up in the logging part though. If it's an already known ID. If it's unknown and it's new. Then it will show up.

Whether it's a new ID or a previously found what that you have programmed. It should show up in the log as well on screen. But it doesn't. It would be nice if it it did.

If you want to see all the RID's in the log, Then create a separate identical copy of the system with NO RID's assigned.

Until BUTEL changes something, That's your only work-around.

Currently, you can't have it both ways.

A bug I just noticed in the latest build 5, when using the virtual control. If you have a System/Department/Channel on hold, then go to adjust the volume, the volume will adjust but it will also move the system/department/channel along with it.

It's not supposed to go anywhere. It's on hold. The volume control is to be able to be controlled without interupting anything else.

I know it's not a major bug but I did just notice it.
