I operate an older Uniden scanner, a BCT15. I primarily use it for scanning aeronautical, railroad, and marine radio, and for this, it is quite sufficient for my needs. I have it rigged up with GPS to allow location based scanning.
Up to now, I have been using the freeware version of BCTools to program the scanner. However, in recent times, the location/GPS programming of BCTools has stopped working, and I note that the software was apparently last updated in 2010. Possibly this is a compatibility issue with Windows 10.
I would like to ask -- what are my other options for programming software for an older Uniden scanner? I'm quite happy with the scanner itself and how it works -- I would just like to update the programming. I would appreciate your thoughts.
