im interested in one of these and i was wondering peoples opinion on these two brands. i currently have a antenna specialist cellular antenna and i have had it for about ten years. it is a 3 db antenna the others are a 5 db antenna. my antenna currently is sitting on a window ledge that is not metal. would the window ledge effect the wilson? im about 10 miles from miami county in ohio and 35 miles from dayton, montgomery county. i can currently get those three systems okay but i want little more. im in a apartment and can not have a outside antenna.

If you're talking about our mobile 800 antenna, I don't know if you would see any major improvement with that. At least not the kind of improvement that I think you're looking for, and that would go for similar antennas. Now if you are talking directional, that might make a difference if you can at least get it out the window somehow... But it depends on the direction the signals are coming from and other factors. I've actually been thinking about a stacked collinear for this band that would be along the lines of our blade antennas... That would probably be the best type of antenna to use in an indoor situation like yours, when a ground-plane isn't available. It's probably going to be a while until I finish that though.
