The couple Nagoya's I do have are just rebranded Diamonds...is this based off of a Diamond?

How is this antenna supposed to be used?

That's the most interesting mystery antenna I've seen!

I wonder if you are supposed to wear it? That little thing on the feedline looks as if it is supposed to fit inside a buttonhole, and maybe you put the elements in your sleeves. For best results and to get the 2.5db gain, you need to strike a disco-pose.

The even stranger thing is that I just measured myself, and I could easily put 23 inches down a pant-leg, and from the beltline up to my shoulder, I could attach 23 inches of wire for a pedestrian-mobile vhf dipole!

Now that is a fashion-statement for us scanner freaks.

When standing, you are a dipole. When sitting you are a ground-plane vertical. I'll let someone else be the first to wear one.
