I'm going to be putting three NMO mounts on the roof of my 2006 F-250 CC (probably tomorrow). My plan is one 1/4 wave VHF antenna for my 50W Icom mobile, one dual-band V/UHF scanner antenna, and a small antenna for 2.8GHz.

Any suggestions on mounting locations on the roof? I was figuring to put the VHF mobile antenna slightly forward of dead center, with the scanner antenna as far back on the roof as possible to minimize interference. Any thoughts on how far they should be separated, and where in between them the 2.8GHz antenna should go?

Thanks,
Jason

There have been other threads here on damage to scanners caused by excessive power radiated by nearby transmit antennas. I'd be concerned about that 50W transmitter wiping out my scanner.

YMMV.
