I know the Scanner FM coupler generally gets bad reviews here. I've been using it to listen to my local PC and FD dispatch, and at 100 watts each, it hasn't been a problem at all. Still I haven't tried it for any other frequencies and I'm sure they wouldn't work well anyway.

So I'm wondering if I was to hook up a FM Transceiver to it, which frequency would go out best? My cars FM antenna is a 29 inch whip. Would this be too long for any frequencies?

Which scanner FM coupler?
Is it designed for a transceiver?
What frequency is it designed for?

Para Dynamics PDC 64. Not designed for any transceiver. Just wondering what frequencies would work best with a 5 watt mobile radio.

If it is not designed for TX, then it is a guess if it will work at all.

You had me confused with the mention of 100W in your original post.

It would probably work fairly well to listen to 30-50mhz. but I would really be afraid to transmit on it without further research!

I use one with my scanner in my vehicle. It gets so/so reception. Not near as great as a quality antenna though. It will replaced by a Spectra Austin Mobile very soon.
