How well does this antenna work and how do you use it for portable use with a mid size hh scanner.
Will be using it on a br330t. Would I be better off getting a rh77ca antenna.

I've got one and I love it. It has all the advantages of the rh77ca plus it's flexible. The additional flexibility allows you to easily carry it, allows you to lay the scanner on its back and bend the antenna to a vertical position, and reduces the chance of damaging the antenna and/or scanner if you inadvertently run into something with the antenna. I can't think of any advantages of getting the 77.
