Uniden BC340CRS Antenna help

Hi there,

First off, Im very new to the whole scanner world. Picked up this Uniden scanner to listen to local Police/Fire/EHS etc and loving it.

I've seen external outdoor use antennas that you can put up on your roof etc. Im wondering what would work best and if it's even possible to pick stuff up 75km+ away. Right now Im just using the whip antenna it came with.

Any info on this subject helps
