Default PLEASE READ FIRST: thread creation is moderated

In order to create a new thread in this forum your post must first be reviewed by a moderator to make sure it fits within the guidelines set forth for this forum. Please allow an ample amount of time for your thread to be reviewed as this may take up to a week depending on what's waiting in the queue. If your thread does not appear it may not have met the requirements of this forum.

We want reviews to be informative and detailed. The more detailed the more your chances of being approved will be. We do not want simple one paragraph reviews with comments like, "it picks up my local police real good." We want to know it all: who, what and where. If you reference sensitivity tell us about the topography in your area. Is it flat, are there mountains?

Here are some tips:
  • How easy is the radio to program? Include your experience programming scanners so we have a reference.
  • How well does it receive? Tell us if you have any overload problems.
  • Do the trunktracking abilities work well for you? Does the equipment do all formats well or excel at any one in particular?
  • If the radio includes programing software how well does it work?
  • If you've used competing manufacturers how well do they compare?
A general rule of thumb is to comment on the features and specifications provided in the manual and your experiences with them.

Accessories:
At the moment we do not accept reviews for generic items like batteries, headphones or other items that are common to various electrical devices. Items such as programming software, programming cables, add-on boards, filters/amplifiers or antennas are permitted accessories for review.

Please remember that since this is a review spelling and grammar should be reasonably proper. Any poorly typed reviews will not be approved.

The current forum configuration specifies a maximum of 24,000 characters per post. Please keep that in mind before posting. You may break-up your review in multiple posts if needed. Since replies are not moderated you have the freedom to have them appear immediately.
