• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Milwaukee County OASIS Digital Trunked Radio System

A little late, but the G-TAC systemwide channels are for this type of purpose. I know they used those and conventional 800Mhz mutual aid channels for the police officer funeral detail earlier this year.

    UW Milwaukee PD

Specifically what model scanner? UWM PD is using the state WISCOM P-25 system, so you need a digital capable scanner.

    Ozaukee County P25 System?

I'm observing some strange behavior with the EDACS system, specifically LCN 1 on 856.7125 and LCN 3 on 857.7125 Scanner is programed per database correctly. The scanner misses traffic on these two LCNs. Just rapidly flashes the TGID like the frequency is not correct (won't unmute). Any ideas...

oddity with Clarksville2 site and dsd+

Might be interference or weak signal into DSD+. I've had similar "false readings" using DSD+ and Unitrunker with weak signals.

Milwaukee County OASIS Digital Trunked Radio System

Was wondering if someone could advise if public works departments for the various cities/towns in Milwaukee County will eventually switch over to the OASIS P-25 system or not? I see several VHF and UHF conventional frequencies also listed for these various agencies/users. Doing a regular...

    Waukesha County

It sounds like you created only one system with two sites. That's not really recommended. Program these as P25 and NOT Motorola (MOT) systems. You should create TWO COMPLETELY SEPARATE systems. System 1 for Milwaukee County, with JUST the Milwaukee County site main control channel. System 2...

Here is what I have used for the BCD325P2 with good results, both stationary and while mobile. REMEMBER THAT DIGITAL IS NOT ALWAYS PERFECT. GARBLED TRANSMISSIONS MAY BE THE SYSTEM NOT NECESSARILY THE SCANNER. ANALOG HAS STATIC, DIGITAL HAS GARBLED/DROPPED TRANSMISSIONS. YOUR RESULTS MAY OR MAY...

Monitoring a LTR passport Trunking system

This old, now deprecated, system was one of the larger LTR Passport systems in its day. It was utilized by several counties in northern middle Tennessee for public safety before switching to NXDN format. The notes on the system may give you a couple of monitoring hints for some older scanners...

Milwaukee County OASIS Digital Trunked Radio System

The OA-G-TAC-xx talkgroups, from my understanding, are for all agencies, although there are specific assignments for each respective county, as well as each specific agency type (Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, etc.). Don’t forget about the Fire Alpha and Bravo mutual aid talk groups on OASIS.
