PA Statewide P25 Phase 2 System

For someone who has shown as much interest in the STARNet and Erie County trunked systems as you have, you really ought to have some dongles for decoding your local sites with Unitrunker or DSD+ or whatever your software of choice. Listening to the systems with scanners in ID Search mode is all...

PA Statewide P25 Phase 2 System

Erie County is in District 14, so I would imagine there's a good chance if a DCNR radio is active on the system in the area. You're just going to have to scan your local STARNet sites and determine for yourself if the talkgroup is active. I believe you have at least three sites covering all...

Monroe County, PA P25 Phase 1 system coming

It appears that when you submitted the EMS repeater back in January, you reversed the output/input. I've submitted the correction along with the NAC.

    Suffolk FD's getting their own 800MHz freq's ??

Just remember that confirmed info should be submitted to the database via the submission process, not through the forum. That's not to suggest that you can't post anything you want to in the discussion forum, but the practice of adding info to the database based on forum posts is discouraged for...

Monroe County, PA P25 Phase 1 system coming

I'm very familiar with Monroe County and the topography. There is not going to be as much site-to-site isolation as you're making it out to be, even on UHF in that terrain. Remember, the system must be engineered so that there is enough overlap coverage between simulcast subsites to ensure...

    Orange County CORNet P25 System

Tuxedo Park PD has cut over.

Monroe County, PA P25 Phase 1 system coming

Simulcast distortion can be an issue with as few as 2 sites, and so 7 sites can very easily pose a significant challenge depending on the circumstances.

Amherst PD (Erie County) - P25?

Being reported that PD has moved over to P25 and the analog repeater is off the air. Confirmation?

    PIPD on Conventional VHF

The repeater is up on top of Perkins Memorial Tower in Bear Mtn. Very high site that gets out strong for dozens of miles all around. Very easy to identify them. Dispatcher is "Bear Mountain" and the cars are all 8Fxx, or sometimes abbreviated 86x for the Rangers (they drop the F, but...

New Jersey Interoperability Communication System (NJ ICS)

Yeah, let's refrain from having the umpteenth discussion about how encryption is stupid, how much we hate it, how the world is ending (which is kinda is for other reasons), etc. A few of you have beat that horse to death in these NJ threads, and you know who you are. Time to move on with life.

    PIPD on Conventional VHF

That's certainly possible, as 154.890 (151.4 PL) is Bear Mountain's primary VHF frequency. Has been for decades, in fact. And yes, there is a full-time patch in place between that repeater and TG 2121 on the RCPSCS that was put online a few years ago.

The frequencies are listed on the Bergen County page in the database.

Legality of decoding P25 Police/EMS/Fire data in an educational video.

If you are truly that concerned with the implications of your project, then you should consult a bona fide expert, rather than seeking opinions from random strangers on a hobbiest website. You have no idea if the answers you're getting here are coming from knowledgeable sources, or some guy who...

    MobileTech NXDN Network

It would be nice to get more eyes and ears on this system. So far half of the sites in the database (23 out of 47) have only the control channel identified, with no traffic (voice/data) channels yet confirmed. While some sites may be just coming online and don't have much traffic yet, it seems...

How To Program P25 for Ham on APX 8000?

The correct conventional system type is ASTRO, not "P25".
  17. GTR8000

    Orange County CORNet P25 System

Are you scanning both the North and South cells (sites), by any chance? If yes, that could explain the gap in the audio, as the scanner is alternating between cells, and you're missing transmissions while the scanner does so. Figure out which cell is strongest in your location (probably South)...

Is there such a thing as an XPR 55?

    Still no.

Is there such a thing as an XPR 55?

    No.

    Orange County CORNet P25 System

Well, that pretty much rules out a simulcast issue, as the SDS100 should be receiving the system solidly. Are you experiencing issues with other talkgroups, or does everything else seem like normal flow of conversation?
