Just did a rough guestimation and would assume it was somewhere around $930K for the hardware. Obviously there is much more on top of that for setup and deployment, though. Agreed.

Boeing 737-MAX certification tests this week (6/29-7/1)

I get your drift! There is good documentation that Boeing used defective structural components made by AHF Ducommun on at least 32 (but likely many more) NG's which had been hand fabricated VERY poorly when they should have been CNC milled. Ducommun and Boeings QC failed to find the defective...

    DP vs Xpr MOTOTRBO™ radios.

You cannot use DP/DM radios in North America. They are not FCC or Industry Canada approved and are configured for the EU band Plan. Plus Motorola will not sell you the EU version of CPS.

    DP vs Xpr MOTOTRBO™ radios.

The DP and DM radios are designed for use in the EU and the associated version of CPS is NOT interchangeable.

    Repeater Installation Help

You could always use the Zello app or buy WAVE™ LTE radios with a service plan. . . It sounds like it would save you a tremendous amount of time, money, and frustration.

    Very true.

Boeing 737-MAX certification tests this week (6/29-7/1)

You're definitely correct about sub-par training for some pilots, however, Boeing now has a well-established history of cutting corners during the development and manufacturing phases. This is on full display with the 737 Max grounding and the Air Force KC-46 tankers which had tools and trash...

    Motorola Pager/Radio

That's good to know. I've never set up analog paging on the G4 since it's 700/800. The only reason I suggested an /\/\ pager was to save the OP some money since most of the price of the G series is for the P25 features.

    Motorola Pager/Radio

If they use VHF you might have better luck using a Motorola Pager since all of the Unication Pagers are all intended mainly for trunking P25.

    Motorola Pager/Radio

You would probably be best off using a Unication G4 or G5 for simplicity and cost sake, though having used a G4 for the last 3 years I have some strong opinions about the G series pagers and Unication overall. If you do decide to go with a Unication pager don't be fooled by their marketing...

    Motorola Pager/Radio

It's easy so long as your budget allows. . . MSI charges and arm and a leg for CPS, though it's relatively cheap compared to the cost of the radios. This will depend entirely on what your goal is. Are you trying to monitor a P25 trunking system? Do you need the ability to transmit?

That's the real barrier to entry for many smaller agencies. I haven't seen the pricing on the new contract but the old SWC 418 prices were ridiculous.

Are you sure? It is not a fast process and can take weeks, sometimes longer.

    CP200d help

In MOL go to the Resource Center then Software >Two-Way > MOTOTRBO > Conventional - Firmware and there will be an option for MOTOTRBO Digital Firmware for SL, CP, and CM radios. You'll need to install the portable light package.

    Itinerant frequency for personal use?

    Thanks, that's what I wondered.

    Itinerant frequency for personal use?

I was asking if the FCC charges for modification to Itinerate licenses. I self filed the Itinerate license in question.

    Itinerant frequency for personal use?

Without totally derailing this thread, do you know what the fee is for adding channels to an existing itinerant license? I want to add a few more channels but I don't want to file a whole new application.
