American Electric Power (AEP) P25 WACN 92715

If it helps... SWEPCO (AEP Louisiana) went from a few CC's per site to 5-6 and the range is limited for SDR use. Now I can only hit them from across town (SDR and SDS100 CC checking on conventional). Even in daytime non-storm weather theyll have one talkgroup for trouble calls/linemen calls...

    Monitoring LWIN control channels

https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/control-channels-only.360457/#post-3029269 This post seems to best describe the TRX-1 when it comes to CC only programing (or voice channel only programming?) for P25 systems. Going through the whole thread left me just as confused as when I started...

    LWIN Issues

SDR comes in handy for this as well. 3-33 has been down for a week. It not only says it's isolated (site trunking, out of wide area, etc), it also says failed. It is not working at all. They brought up one of the mobile trailers (1-98) in response. This was determined by my laptop in...

    Determining Which P25 Simulcast

Thanks for that, I was also looking through the Arizona Forum for info. This is the "blacklisting" I was referring to earlier. It does make sense for efficiency at this level of radio users on a P25 system.

    Determining Which P25 Simulcast

Sorry, I've edited my post so much I need to make a new one. The site names are implying they only affiliate certain talkgroups. If I didn't know the system and was programming, I would for sure think like you are thinking and be confused about which agencies affiliate on which sites. It...

    Determining Which P25 Simulcast

Ditto SDR viewing helps but I count this as "monitoring and logging" Edit: Looking over the system Regional Wireless Cooperative (RWC) Trunking System, Phoenix, Arizona This is the first time I've ever seen site names containing certain services. This does imply certain talkgroups are on...

    Determining Which P25 Simulcast

Which system in particular are you referencing? A P25 "system" has multiple sites which may be standalone (1 tower 1 set of frequencies) or simulcast (multiple towers each with the same set of frequencies functioning as one site). Simulcast sites cause issues as listed above with non-SDS...

    LWIN Issues

This has been happening a lot up north as well. Heard some testing being done so I assume its just regular maintenance but you never know. SDR is the only way to know datawise. Up here most agencies will advise on their channel that the primary site is in "site trunking" so the users are...

    New Site Calcasieu Parish Area

It will find new sites within seconds. More useful for this type of thing than any radio. What scanner are you using? It should display the site number somewhere. Also helpful for confirming that this is indeed a new site and not just another site's alternate CC, etc..

    Help finding frequencies.

I live within range of the Oak Grove P25 site for LWIN. Oak Grove units primarily use West Carroll SO Dispatch for operations (as with other small town PD's in the parish. I'm no help with non-Uniden radios. However; if @hiegtx can get you situated with the Whistler, I can be of some...

American Electric Power (AEP) P25 WACN 92715

3 raw recordings (in excess of 10min each) from 3 sites have been sent to the gmail listing I found earlier in this thread. @lwvmobile Email is the only way to send this I've discovered due to the size @mtindor Attached is the P25 data, new CC's have been added to pretty much every site.
