Commercial radio that will scan all 97 AAR channels.

Is there a commercial radio that will scan all 97 of the railroad channels? I have been using Motorola CDM and M1225 radius radios for some time now, and I love the quality of reception over a regular scanner, but they are restricted to 16 or 24 channels for scanning. Is there a radio out...

Who can make a custom cable, 75Ohm, F connectors

The booster is a SureCall and is a very high quality unit that works well. It is one of their base units, the more expensive ones do use N connectors.

Who can make a custom cable, 75Ohm, F connectors

I need a 30Ft. run of coax, 75 Ohm, male F connectors on both ends. I'd like something better than RG-6, maybe RG-8? This is for a Cell Phone Booster. I've called the antenna farm twice, they said they would check and get back with me and they never have. Anywhere else I can try?

Question about combining signal from 2 Yagi antennas into one coax

Thanks guys, it wouldn't be a huge deal to just run another coax feed, I just thought if there was an easy way to combine the signals with little loss it would be worth a try. The signals are faint, hence the use of a yagi, I don't want to introduce any loss.

Question about combining signal from 2 Yagi antennas into one coax

Thanks, figured there had to be more two it. I should have also mentioned this is a receive only setup.

Question about combining signal from 2 Yagi antennas into one coax

I recently saw a friend setup 2 Yagi antennas aimed almost 180 degrees apart then hooked to a 2 way power divider with 2 equal lengths of coax. I had heard that this could be done but I'd never seen it in person before, he mentioned that the two coax cables that connect from the antennas to the...

Reducing RF noise from my PC

I'll see if I can make a recording of it sometime, it is hard to describe. The noise goes away when I turn down the volume on the guitar, so that would point in the direction of the pickups to me and not the cable.

Reducing RF noise from my PC

Thanks for the suggestions. Not plugged into the PC, although I did try that with an amp simulator but the latency drove me nuts. I have guitars with humbuckers and of course the noise is greatly reduced, but I'm mostly a single coil guy!

Reducing RF noise from my PC

I play electric guitar and often it is in front of my PC, especially if I'm learning a song etc. Most of my guitars have single coil pickups which pick up just about everything around them and my PC really seems to put out a lot of RF noise. The PC is a custom build that I built myself, I can...

Antenna Spacing Question Cell Phone Booster-Receive only antennas

All of my boosters are SureCall brand which I've been very happy with, and they have a very knowledgeable tech support person that actually KNOWS what he is doing and will respond to an email in a timely manner. And yes they do shut down if they go into oscillation. The model I have also has...

Antenna Spacing Question Cell Phone Booster-Receive only antennas

I need to add a cell phone booster to the building that currently houses my radios/antennas. I currently have 3 antennas on the building as can be seen in the picture, the largest Omni on the left is mainly for the Railband 160-162MHz although I do use it for monitoring other frequencies, the...

No audio coming through Scanner Cast V0.14

Well I was able to figure this out. Apparently my audio cable failed and was only supplying audio one of the 2 audio channels, and I guess ScannerCast only uses one audio channel even when not in stereo mode, and it was trying to get audio from the dead channel. New audio cable fixed the problem.

No audio coming through Scanner Cast V0.14

For some reason even though the software says it is connected and running, no audio from my scanner is going to the feed. I know for a fact that audio from my scanner is getting into my PC, if I listen to it directly from the windows sound devices I hear it fine, but listening on the feed, there...

Question about making a coax jumper for use with an SDI video camera.

So I discovered on the webpage for the capture card that it actually comes with SMA to BNC adapter cables, specifically these, https://mobilevideodevices.com/capture-devices/video-capture-accessories/sdi-to-sma-cable/ So all I need is two 75Ohm BNC patch cables and we are good to go.

Question about making a coax jumper for use with an SDI video camera.

My main concern is any physical size differences between 75 ohm and 50 ohm connections. I don't want to mess up the connections on a $600 card.
