@deanhod, with a proper upgradekit or terminal batch upgrade kit you can upgrade your radio. It will reset the codeplug data, so they say everything will gone also passwords.

Hytera Basic Privacy - Recovering Key Value

Sorry for late reply. Unfortunately I do not have a direct answer for your question. But you can read sources of these two dmr decoders to understand the frame structures and where they store relevant data: https://github.com/f4exb/dsdcc https://github.com/pd0mz/go-dmr And did you check ETSI...

Hytera Basic Privacy - Recovering Key Value

Best way to decode/decrypt BP is from air! AGAIN: If you connect your hytera radio to computer and then read rcdx from it using CPS; the firmware DOES NOT send "even the encrypted(or encoded)" keys from radio to CPS. There is no key data in RCDX.

Hytera Basic Privacy - Recovering Key Value

    1. When you enter a Basic Privacy Key to Hytera, It copies the value from CPS to flash (appereantly). But, Hytera encrypts(or encodes(?) I am not sure of that) the key value and stores encrypted(encoded). Because U could not have find any trace of the actual key? 2. You said: OK, I am not...

    Hytera MD782 Password

@Tarnish05 before admins get mad open a new thread and let's discuss it there. What do you want to do? Reveal already written basic enc keys from a Hytera Radio? Or you want to make motorola and hytera to communicate in basic privacy? Explain it in a new thread!

    Hytera MD782 Password

In Hytera user can enter a basic protection/encryption key. And AFAIK on the flash, it is stored encrypted (At least I cannot find any clear text encryption keys). And probably you cannot just bruteforce it. Do you even know how Hytera encrypt keys? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wildcard (All TG) on Hytera Radios?

AFAIK, not possible with a hytera radio. And not possible with any radio. If I am not wrong it is because of the DMR protocol!

Check my post here. https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/hytera-hp602um-cps-area-dosent-match.443312/post-3694482 You did not mention your radio's area! If your radio was built for NA you cannot use a SA-compatible CPS, you need NA-compatible CPS What is your radio's area and what is your...

Can't find Hytera software for flashing

    MD782 U(2) firmware upgrade path

You have to find a compatible version of upgrader. Hytera upgraders DOES NOT work like this: one upgrader upgrades from any version to related version, NO! They work like: "I can firmware upgrade from this low version to this upper version"; e.g 6 to 8 or 8.0 to 8.5 That means you have to...

Can't find Hytera software for flashing

Dear hurricaneoleg; If I don't get it wrong from your first post, your hytera dealer had given you a wrong version of firmware upgrader. Thus, your radios internal model number (maybe also serial number?) had changed? What happens when you open up the radio? Nothing or any error messages? With...

    GBCAT - Computer Aided Transceiver

GBCAT is PC software for controlling amateur radio devices through a COM/USB port or through a TCP/IP network, with the ability to transfer a 2-way audio signal over a TCP/IP network. GBCAT is composed of three parts: the base module, the extended command set A, and the extended command set B...

    Make rcdx readable

I do not know any way of decoding rcdx files unfortunately :/ But I want to mention something: If you have a rcdx file which you just retrieved from a radio and then save it; that rcdx file does not contain passwords or keys. If you change passwords or keys and then save it to disk, then your...

    Hytera MD782 Password

Did you try reading via "Programming Mode" or "Download Mode". FB only works on "Download Mode". By "Download Mode" I mean "Upgrade Mode". If you tried on Download Mode and cannot read it, it is most probably a version issue. You should find a newer version of FB. What is your firmware version?
