Troop A Still There or Encrypted?

I just dealt with a simulcast issue on my 996P2 on CSP and Wallingford FD/PD and my tower antenna. Tried everything and eventually just removed all freqs but control channels and it "solved" (greatly improved) the receiver performance. I feel like I conceded but it worked. (edited for spelling)

    HOT LINE CSPD

I monitor the SCAN hotlines as a part of my scan list. The following three freqs are active daily with CSP to area, area to area and area to CSP comms: 45.86 (this is still the most active) nhfdcadet is correct about this. 460.150 460.050 As was previously mentioned, many comms are made...

    Wallingford P25

Update: Changed the connector on the antenna, adjusted the P25 threshold and shut of AGC - now the system is working pretty well. I wouldn't say "great" but it's fairly consistent and now I get full transmissions.

    Wallingford P25

Unfortunately I need my tower antenna to receive everyone else, so using an interior antenna isn't a long-term option but I see your point in limiting which sites I receive. I assume there's no other way to accomplish this. I may just need a dedicated receiver meant for simulcast systems if the...

    Wallingford P25

This makes sense. I did replace one connector on my antenna that I discovered was a bit loose. This change did increase signal strength tp 4 bars but I still get the broken transmissions I am now attributing to the simulcast performance of my scanner. I am in the process of adjusting the P25...

    Wallingford P25

Thanks everyone! I am only getting two to three bars when the scanner locks on the control channel. This varies a bit during the day/night but it seems rather low. I originally wasn't sure if my issue had something to do with my APCO threshold but given the low signal strength and what others...

    Wallingford P25

Is anyone having trouble with consistently receiving Wallingford FD/PD on the P25 Phase 2 system? I am using Talkgroup Search on a new BCD996P2 scanner. I just upgraded my old 996 to the newer P2 version. CSP and other trunked systems seem to work ok as far as I can tell - just as they had...

    Wallingford new system

Great info, thanks. I previously missed the "Mode" information in the DB regarding CLMRN (DOT / CSP, specifically) when I was reprogramming my XT. This is exactly what I am seeing (obviously). I need to upgrade.

    Wallingford new system

Cheshire FD was having issues on their Primary for a few days but that has since been corrected. All Cheshire services are still operating on conventional channels. Wallingford has switched over to P25/II trunked but is still simulcasting on VHF. My BCD996XT (P25/I) doesn't receive Wallingford's...

I am looking to do the same thing you are doing...though I have zero rasberry pi experience. How difficult is the setup? I am trying to stream audio on Broadcastify as well as use Two Tone Detect for paging...

That's too bad. Maybe someone will add them to one of the online streams so you can hear it.

    Campion Ambulance - Cheshire

Campion dispatches the Cheshire units on 461.225 with a DPL of 662, which is the Waterbury frequency. I definitely hear them on there. If you aren't hearing anything at all, check your frequency and/or PL. If both are correct then I suppose the terrain or distance between you and the transmitter...

    Campion Ambulance - Cheshire

That's awesome information, thanks guys. That's exactly what I was looking for. One more question: Does Campion transport primarily to Waterbury facilities from Cheshire or do they also go to Midstate? I noticed they are listed under Northwest CMed whereas here in Wallingford we use South...
