thanks mike, I edited my pro-164 using psredit and it seems to be working, with utah's rebanded system, the same as my pro-106. looks like the firmware update has fixed the rebanding issues.

ok, I figured out how to select the new trunking table type.... PGM TRUNK FUNC 3 then arrow to the new MULTI-TABLE option FUNC 2 allow for editing the custom Ranges, but it will NOT allow for 8xx.xxxx frequencies, only 406.xxxx

how do you change the expert settings to get the custom trunking table. I'm trying to test with utah's rebanded system, but can't find the setting for custom

I am using software, and I did have enabled. What it looked to me like was the TG alert has a higher priority than the Radio ID alert

I tried playing with this, but could not get the radio id alert to override the talk group alert. example I have the TG alert to show blue LED, but I wanted a radio id that uses that TG to flash RED. I would see the radio id text that I assigned, but the LED was blue for the TG

I have noticed a decrease in battery life going from a pro-164 to the pro-106. It seems like I'm getting about 1/2 the battery with the same amount of usage.

I have heard what sounds like golf coarse maint on 13120 and I have heard SAR Comms on 5888 I would say 13120 needs to be changed, but I have been unable to determine what golf coarse it is. I defiantly is NOT being used for SAR.

Now that I'm sitting here having with drawls because my pro-164 no longer works..... What is the "MOT Custom Trunking Table" in Win97 for and is there any hope that setting something like the Step in this table will help.

I'm not sure on the pro96, but on the pro164 you hit PGM, TRUNK, then find the TG you are looking for, then hit FUNC, TRUNK

Sounds too me like they are talking about replacing the board, not updating the firmware. Is this the case and would that fix the problem. Any word on the possible time frame for an update to the Pro-164 firmware?

Does anything need to be changed on a pro-164 I changed the Nelson Peak CC and it seams to be working, just don't know how to tell if I'm missing anything?

They made a major imporovment in the nobs on the 164 from the 97 IMO

you can check the voltage while the scanner is on..... Hit PGM then FUNC then ENT
